OUR HISTORY

 

Greater Hope Christian Church ("GHCC"), the Greatest Church in the Land, where we walk by faith and not by sight, was birthed in the living room of Pastors Rich and Silvia Delamar with its members sharing their first communion as a church family on February 14, 2015.  GHCC exists to offer hope, minster healing and equip people for wholeness of body and spirit through Christ's transforming love. 

On December 31, 2014, while praying on the alter at Light of the World Christian Church, Pastors Rich and Silvia Delamar heard the voice of God, calling them out and speaking to them about the work that was to come.  They both recall seeing a vision of the faces of people, some they recognized, others they did not, who would become members of the church that the Lord was calling them to plant.  Soon after that New Year's Eve encounter with God, the Lord gave them the name, Greater Hope Christian Church, and the foundational scripture for the ministry, I Peter 1:3-9.  A few short months after the first communion was shared, GHCC moved to its current location on Old McDonough Hwy and celebrated its inaugural worship service on Sunday, July 2, 2015.

 

We are committed to living our lives as real-life disciples of Jesus Christ and believe that all who join this Christian body of faith will commit to sharing Jesus Christ to the lost as part of their daily walk.
